What happens to a transparent background?
PNG and WebP can retain transparency. JPEG cannot. When exporting to JPEG, the chosen background color fills transparent areas.
Are animated files supported?
This tool is intended for still images. Animated PNG or WebP inputs may be decoded as a single frame, not preserved as animation. GIF, video, HEIC, SVG and PDF are not accepted.
Will every browser export WebP?
Export support depends on the browser. If a requested format is unavailable, the tool displays an error instead of downloading a file with a misleading extension. PNG is the most widely supported fallback.
